On Election Day, Michigan not only opted for Barack Obama, they also said yes to medical marijuana.
The ballot question put before voters on Nov. 4 explained that the law would not only allow physicians to prescribe marijuana to patients suffering from “debilitating medical conditions,” it also would permit registered individuals to grow marijuana in locked facilities for these patients.

Congratulations Massachusetts for passing question 2. Question 2 was fighting to reduce penalties for marijuana possession and would decriminalize possession of up to an ounce of marijuana, instead imposing a fine. Source: sensiblemarijuanapolicy.org Click Here To View Full Story
There is a current hot debate going on in the US and Canada over whether to legalize marijuana or not.
It is common knowledge that the marijuana plant is considered to be the source of an illegal substance - the ever popular weed, pot, bud, ganja, etc. That being said…
The marijuana industry today is grossing billions of dollars a year for the growers. From the medusers who grow for themselves, to the mom-n-pop grows used to supplement their social security, to the huge grow-ops funded by gangsters and terrorists, the industry is booming - and enlarging itself daily.

You will need:
1 pound butter ( salted or unsalted )
1 to 2 ounces of shake ( leaves & trimmings )
1 fine strainer ( or piece of screen, pantyhose, etc. )
1 large kettle (electric skillet or crockpot can also be used)
1 gallon of water
Put the water into the cooking appliance and add the shake. Cook until simmering, then add the butter ( cut into quarters ).
Simmer for 2 - 3 hours, until almost all of the water evaporates, gently stirring occasionally.
( This will really stink the place up - take the necessary precautions by doing it when unexpected company is not likely to show up )
Let cool for 30 minutes or so, then strain liquid into bowl and place in refridgerator. ( Some people will strain this several times, as each additional straining produces a finer quality of butter )
When mixture is cold and mostly solid ( 30 - 60 minutes ), remove from the fridge and pour the remaining water off, leaving the butter intact. Put in microwave appx. 30 - 60 seconds, until just soft enough to scrape into a storage container. ( If a microwave is unavailable, scrape butter into a small saucepan and heat over low heat until it is just soft enough to scrape into a storage container )
Keep the cannabutter stored in the fridge - may be kept stored for several weeks.
* This recipe makes 1 to 1 & 1/2 cups of smooth cannabutter.
** Cannabutter may be used as the substitute for cooking oil in many recipes.

Marijuana, like everything else, has suffered from inflation. Back in the 70`s, it was sold as an illicit drug. Nowadays, it is more of a commercial crop, with the prices guided by the supply and demand of any given area.
During the early 1980`s, prices for commercial-grade marijuana varied between $300 and $600 a pound. In the `90`s, the prices ranged from $200 to $4000 a pound, with the average pound selling at around $800.
Sensimilla, the higher-quality seedless grade with a higher THC content, averaged between $1000 - $2000 a pound a decade ago. In the upper `90`s, the prices ran from $700 - $8000 a pound, with the typical pound bringing $1300.

Marijuana has been used down through the centuries as both a medicine and a recreational drug.
The earliest known documentation was in 3727 BC, in China, which is also, as far as can be traced, the country of origin. Marijuana was recognized as an intoxicating drug, but it was widely used for its medicinal properties, particularly in the treatment of malaria, rheumatism, gout, and absent-mindedness.

In an increasingly security-conscious world, the random drug test is becoming more and more popular with a wide variety of employers. Unfortunately for the multitudes of smokers of the marijuana plant product, there is as of yet no known, 100% effective method which would guarantee that a marijuana smoker will pass a drug test.
The urine test is the most common drug test today, although the use of hair follicles and saliva are becoming more and more popular.
In today`s markets, particularly on the internet, there are thousands and thousands of pills, potions, lotions, drinks, shampoos, artificial urines, etc., available for the gullible buyer. Of course, these are all proclaimed as foolproof and 100% effective.
Common sense will tell us that most of these efforts to detoxify the system, or to eradicate the presence of the residue of the marijuana plant, is a gamble at best, as THC is known to stay in the body for 30 days or more.

A non-psychoactive chemical that occurs naturally in the marijuana plant may prevent breast cancer from spreading, according to a study published in the journal Molecular Cancer Therapeutics.
Researchers found that a chemical called cannabidiol (CBD) affects the activity of a gene known as Id-1 in patients with hormone-independent breast cancer. In embryos, Id-1 is responsible for helping cells grow and spread, but is supposed to remain inactive in adults. In human adults, it is found only in metastatic cancer cells, or cancer cells that are spreading throughout the body.
